A guy showed me a different way to operate a Leslie. His purpose was preventing his Krueger Bass from being pushed thru a fast spinning speaker.

FIRST...UNPLUG BOTH THE BROWN AND THE WHITE PLUGS WHICH GO TO THE LOWER ROTOR MOTOR.
THEN...PLUG THE WHITE PLUG IN, WHERE THE BROWN PLUG WAS ORIGINALLY.
-lAST ...LEAVE THE BROWN PLUG DISCONNECTED.
+LAST ...LEAVE THE BROWN PLUG DISCONNECTED.

Try it, you might like it; I do! The result is...when upper is fast, the lower is in "chorale". This is a nice effect, especially behind a group and when playing a string bass such as Trek thru the Leslie.
