The *driving gears* are brass gears mounted on the main drive shaft of the ToneGenerator. The driving gears* are connected to the drive shaft through coil damping springs to absorb the pulsations of the SynchronousMotor. There are 48 *driving gears, one for a pair of ?DrivenGears.
