Console Organs

Console Organs have two 5 octave manuals, they often use an external speaker system like a Leslie or tone cabinet but a few console models have internal speakers and amplifiers.

• "A" series (A, AB, B-A) these early (1935-1938) Hammond consoles have: Tremolo and do not have: chorus, vibrato or percussion
• "C series" (BC, D, G) these consoles (1936-1944) have: Tremolo, a Chorus Generator and do not have: vibrato or percussion.
• "V" series (BV, CV, DV) consoles (1939-1942) have: Vibrato, a control for Vibrato Chorus and do not have: percussion.
• "-2" series (B-2, C-2) consoles (1949-1954) have: Selective Vibrato and do not have: percussion
• "-3" series (B-3, C-3) consoles (1954-1974) have: Selective Vibrato and Percussion.
• "-100" series (A-100, D-100) consoles (1954-1974) are electrically and tonally identical to the "-3" series organs but include: an internal amplifier and speaker system.
• "E series" consoles (1937-1942) have 32-key AGO Pedal Clavier with expanded voicing, split Tremolo, a Chorus Generator, preset toe pistons. (These are sometimes called the "concert" models,)
• H-100 consoles (1965-1974) have all the features of the "-100" console organs but include: multichannel amplification, more ?drawbars per manual and diving board keys.
