-The Hammond A-100 series organ is electrically identical to the famous
Hammond [B-3] except that it also contains a speaker and reverberation system built into the organ console. It has two 61-note manuals and 25 pedals with the standard drawbar sets, presets, Selective Vibrato and [percussion]. In addition, there are three 12-inch speakers and a reverberation dial. This instrument was promoted as a home organ and also worked well in music teaching studios as it was completely self contained. Additional tone cabinets could be added, if needed.

First introduced in 1959, the A-100 series was produced in a variety of cabinet styles and finishes:
<pre>
A-100 Traditional Red Mahogany, Light Walnut
A-101 Contemporary Gray or Brown Mahogany, Black
A-102 French Provincial Light or Dark Cherry
-A-105 Tudor Dark Walnut, Light Oak
+A-105 Tudor Dark Walnut, Light Oak (similar to a C-3 cabinet)
A-122 Contemporary Patina Walnut (rare)
-A-143 Early American Maple (rare)
+A-143 Early American Maple or Medium Cherry
(rare)
+Unlike many of the [console organs|ConsoleOrgans], the A-100 series did not have a fold-down lockable cover save for the A-105. Also an interesting A-100 variation with a triple-hinged locking lid was made in Europe under license by Deutsche Hammond in Hamburg, Brodr. Jorgenson in Denmark, and possibly Hammond Belgium as well. This cabinet design was unique to Europe.
The [HammondFaq] has a [number of pictures|http://theatreorgans.com/hammond/faq/hammond-pictures.html] of the internals of an A-100.
